Barbecued OystersRecipe : Barbecued Oysters
Procedure :
1 Doz. oysters (large -- fresh) 3 Tbsp. oyster liquid 2 Tbsp. tomato paste 1 Tbsp. chili sauce 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 Tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 Tsp. prepared horseradish 1/8 Tsp. onion salt 1/4 Tsp. salt 3 Tbsp. bacon flavored cracker crumbs Place oysters in a single layer in a shallow baking dish. Combine oyster liquid, tomato paste, chili sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish and salt in a saucepan; cook over medium heat 20 minutes. Pour sauce over oysters. Prick oysters with a fork to allow sauce to penetrate. Sprinkle with cracker crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Yield 3 to 4 servings. |
