Carob CakeRecipe : Carob Cake
Procedure :
1 c White flour 1 1/4 c Whole wheat flour 1 ts Baking soda 1/4 ts Salt 1/2 c Carob powder (or cocoa) 1/2 c Sugar 1/2 c Corn oil 3/4 c Water 1 1/4 c Honey or maple syrup 1 tb Cider vinegar 2 ts Vanilla extract Sift the flours together with baking soda, salt & carob. Stir in the sugar. In a large mixing bowl, stir together oil, water, honey, vinegar & vanilla until well blended. Add dry ingredients, mixing till well blended. Lightly oil & flour 2 8-inch cake pans. Divide batter equally between the two pans & bake at 350F for 20 minutes, or until the cakes test done.
