Brown Sugar DropsRecipe : Brown Sugar Drops
Procedure :
1 c SHORTENING 2 c BROWN SUGAR 2 ea EGGS 1/2 c BUTTERMILK OR WATER 3 1/2 c FLOUR 1 t BAKING SODA 1 t SALT MIX SHORTENING, SUGAR, AND EGGS THOROUGHLY. STIR IN BUTTERMILK. MEASURE FLOUR BY DIPPING METHOD. STIR FLOUR, SALT, AND SODA TOGETHER. BLEND INTO SUGAR MIXTURE. CHILL FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR. HEAT OVEN TO 4000F. DROP DOUGH BY TEASPOONFULS ONTO COOKIE SHEETS - 2" APART. (COOKIE SHEET SHEETS SHOULD BE LIGHTLY GREASED.) BAKE 8 TO 10 MINUTES. |
